RFID column recognition
The column recognition system consists of a small RFID chip attached to the column with a polyimide tube. Both the chip and the mounting tube are chemically inert which allows storage in solvent.
The stored information is read wirelessly via an antenna in the column oven. There is also no need to replace batteries as the chip is powered wirelessly.
